Happy Frida Kahlo Day at the Sachem Academy!
As part of Hispanic Heritage Week, classes learned about the accomplishments and talents of Mexican Artist, Frida Kahlo.
Today, some chose to join in solidarity with a drawn on Uni-Brows which was one of her recognizable features. She wore chunky necklaces, red lipstick and was an amazing artist who challenged social norms and conventional artistry with her work.
Thank you to Mrs. Spencer who came in dressed in full Frida garb today in celebration of the day!
Tomorrow will be a translation scavenger hunt where the top two finishers receive a prize!!!
